Ato Sahlemichael Mekonnen Demisse, is a graduate of Addis Ababa University with M.Sc. Degree in Accounting and Finance in 2009 and B.A. Degree in Accounting in 2002 from Mekelle University. He has also attended various trainings locally and abroad.

Ato Sahlemichael Mekonnen started his banking career in the former Construction and Business Bank (CBB) and worked there for 13 years in different capacities including Director, Credit Relationship Management Process and Head Credit Analysis & Information Division. In addition, he was assigned on various managerial positions on acting basis at different times during his stay in CBB. After the merger of Construction and Business Bank with Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Ato Sahlemichael joined Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and worked as Manager, Corporate Compliance Management Division for about six months. Then, he joined Debub Global Bank S.C and worked there as Director of Retail Banking Department for above 2 years.

Ato Sahlemichael joined Addis International Bank S.C. in February 2019 as Director of Banking Operation and E-Banking Department.
