Ato Sintayehu Gurmu Shene is a graduate of Hawassa University with Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Marketing Management in 2018; B.A. Degree in Economics in 2005 from Addis Ababa University and Diploma in Banking & Finance from Addis Ababa Commercial College in August 1998. He has also attended various trainings and had certificates in Compliance Risk Management, Legal Skill (Contract Law), Project Appraisal (Agricultural), ToT, Credit Analysis & Processing and International Banking Operation.

Ato Sintayehu started his banking career in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and worked there for more than 20 years in different capacities. In CBE, he has ample banking experiences which from Junior Bank clerk up to Director level. His experience is including Chairperson of Credit Committee B (by Director Level); Manager, Credit Appraisal and Loan Recovery; Customer Relationship Manager at Business & Corporate Credit and Commercial credit units. In addition, he was served as Hawassa District Manager and Director of Commercial credit temporarily on acting basis at different times.
Ato Sintayehu joined Addis International Bank S.C. in April 2019 as Director of Credit Department.
